TOEFL 3-Month Preparation Plan

Three months is enough time to prepare for TOEFL and score 100+ if you study strategically. Here is a week-by-week plan from diagnostic to exam day.

Start TOEFL Preparation

Month 1: Diagnosis & Foundation (Weeks 1–4)

  • Week 1: Diagnostic test; identify weakest skill; begin AWL vocabulary
  • Week 2: Reading — 1 passage/day timed; learn question types
  • Week 3: Listening — 1 lecture/day with note-taking practice
  • Week 4: Speaking — record 5 responses/day; review with feedback

Month 2: Intensive Practice (Weeks 5–8)

  • Week 5–6: Writing — 2 integrated + 2 independent essays per week
  • Week 7: Full section practice for Reading and Listening
  • Week 8: First full mock test + score estimate; identify remaining gaps

  • Weeks 9–10: 2 full mock tests; targeted practice for persistent errors
  • Week 11: Review all four skills; consolidate vocabulary
  • Week 12: Light review; rest; exam-day logistics
