TOEFL Speaking Tasks 3–6: Integrated Responses
Tasks 3–6 require you to integrate information from reading and/or listening before speaking. Accurate note-taking and organised delivery are the keys to a high score.

Draw a simple two-column table: Reading (left) | Lecture (right). Capture main points in each column. After the audio, your spoken response summarises the lecture and relates it to the reading.
- Reading: Main concept, 2–3 key claims
- Lecture: Professor's example/explanation for each claim
- Link: How the lecture illustrates or expands the reading
Task 3 Template (Campus Situations)
Example: According to the reading, the university plans to [policy change]. In the conversation, the man/woman [agrees/disagrees] with this change for two reasons. First, [reason 1 from conversation]. Second, [reason 2]. For these reasons, the [man/woman] [supports/opposes] the new policy.

Task 4 Template (Academic Concepts)
Example: The reading introduces the concept of [term]. In the lecture, the professor explains this by describing [example]. Specifically, [detail 1]. This demonstrates [link back to concept] because [explanation].
